Rainworth Day Nursery - Country Kids
Based in the village of Rainworth, we are easy to access from many local areas. Our nursery includes a stimulating and fun outdoor area that we spend a lot of time exploring.
We are open 52 weeks a year from 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday. We welcome all children to our nursery, including those who will be using government funded hours.
Baby Room
12 weeks - 2 years old
Our baby room is a loving environment for children aged from 12 weeks to 2 years old. In this room, we focus on maintaining a home-from-home feel, to allow babies to make the transition from being at home, to being in a nursery with other babies and adults as smooth as possible. We have tailored our baby room to stimulate very young minds as they begin to explore the world.
We promote bare feet and brains in our nursery! We have a lovely sensory room to stimulate the minds of babies with lights, sounds, tastes, sounds and smells. Within our baby room, we have lots of toys and treasure baskets to explore, and most importantly we offer lots and lots of snuggles.
Toddlers & Pre-school
Toddlers (2 - 3 years old)
Our toddler room focuses on learning through play, with a huge focus on enhancing the children's communication and language skills. Children in this group will learn though play and will enjoy exploring objects, spending time in the great outdoors and learning to play cooperatively with other children.
Pre-school (3 - 5 years old)
Our pre-school group at Rainworth will have a huge focus on preparing children to start school at 5 years old, by learning through play and hands-on experiences rather than worksheets.
We promote independence of our pre-school children, plus social and emotional growth.
To help prepare for school, each child moving into this
room will receive their own Country Kids polo shirt, to allow
them to get used to wearing a uniform before they start school.
Their days will also be structured to replicate that of a school
day, to make the transition at 5 years old as smooth as possible.
Magic Kingdom
Our sensory room is a real favourite within nursery and a space where children can both relax and sleep. We have lots of different sensory items for each child to explore as they wish.
This cosy area allows the child to have some calm, reflective time and explore all senses. Will it be looking at their reflection in the mirror, feeling all the different surfaces, smelling the aroma, hearing the fish tank or gazing at our twinkly lights?
The different colours, lights and textured surfaces is great for the children's development. Sensory activities play a hug part in children's development, not only is the Magic Kingdom super fun, but they also have lots of benefits! Sensory play is proven to help build nerve connections to the brain and really helps to improve their motor skills.
Outside Area
At our beautiful Rainworth nursery, we follow the Country Kids blended approach to learning, with a tailored mix of learning styles and theories. We have a real focus on Forest School inspired activities which take place in our grassed outdoor area. We have lots of creative hands-on fun with den building, tyre climbing and exploring nature with our friends.
In addition to this, we also enjoy practicing our climbing and balancing skills, playing with our friends on the wooden seesaw, and getting our fingers dirty in the gardening patch. Our children love outdoor play with their friends all year round.

He comes home happy but very tired (from all the fun he's had). I have noticed a change already in his eating and sleeping at night, which really does tell me he is happy in the environment he's in.
All of the staff at Rainworth are very understanding and caring towards any specific needs and communicate really well with parents, which I think is great. I love to receive photos and updates on how he is doing, happy kids = happy parents.

“My daughter absolutely loves coming to Country Kids Rainworth, she never wants to leave when it's home time. She has "adventures with Rosey" and when I asked her how she likes her new nursery, she said "it's perfect!"
What more can a parent ask for? The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The manager Donna goes out of her way to organise new things for the children to do that I haven't experienced when my other children went to nursery.
