Real experiences. Real learning. Happy children.

Located in the heart of Sleaford, just opposite the train station, our nursery is designed with natural materials and real-life resources at its core. From the environment itself to the activities children enjoy each day, we focus on meaningful, hands-on experiences that help children learn through doing.

We offer flexible day-care from 8am–6pm for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years, providing a safe, calm and supportive space throughout every stage of early childhood.

Baby Room

For Children Aged 12 Weeks – 2.5 Years

Our baby room is a cosy, homely space where little ones can settle at their own pace, helping the transition from home to nursery feel calm, familiar and reassuring.

Each day includes gentle sensory play and hands-on experiences, giving babies the chance to explore new textures, objects, sights and sounds while building early skills and curiosity about the world around them.

Babies are at the heart of everything we do, with lots of comfort, cuddles and one-to-one time throughout the day, helping them feel safe, secure and truly cared for.

Toddler Room

For Children Aged 2 - 3 Years

Our toddler room is a warm, supportive space where children are encouraged to explore and get hands-on; Learning happens through play, from messy activities and creative projects to building dens, baking in our home corner, and outdoor adventures.

We focus on helping toddlers learn to play and work alongside others, building confidence, independence and social skills. This is also an important stage where we work closely with families to support each child’s potty-training journey.

We love getting out and about and helping children develop confidence and a love of exploring.

Preschool Room

For Children aged 3 - 5 years old

In this room, learning through play and working together sit at the heart of everything we do. Children build friendships as they share, take turns and play together, from tea parties in the home corner to building towns in the construction area.

Learning is active and engaging, with plenty of sensory play alongside our core programmes: Dough Disco, Jolly Phonics and Squiggle While You Wiggle, supporting early writing, phonics and fine motor skills in a fun, child-led way.

Our preschool follows the same early learning goals as schools, but without worksheets, learning happens through hands-on experiences, exploration, creativity and lots of play.

How We're Different

We know childcare costs can really add up, so we try to make things as simple and fair as possible for families. We include everyday essentials like nappies, wipes and suncream (if you choose to opt in), so there are no extras to think about.

Unlike many nurseries, we don’t charge for Bank Holidays, and we also offer half-rate holiday sessions when holidays are booked at least four weeks in advance. This means you only pay half price for up to two weeks of your child’s usual sessions, for example, if your child attends two days a week, you can have four days at half price.

Our eligible families also have the option to use government-funded hours, helping to make childcare more manageable for families.

The Great Outdoors

At Country Kids, we believe being outdoors is an important part of every child’s day. While we don’t have an on-site outdoor area, we make sure children get outside every single day, whatever the weather.

Raincoats and wellies are firm favourites as we head out to explore our local surroundings, spotting trains, watching the world go by, splashing in puddles, collecting leaves and discovering the changing seasons along the way. These daily outings give children real-life experiences, fresh air and plenty of opportunities to explore, move and learn.

Being out in the community helps children build confidence, curiosity and a real connection with the world around them, and it’s something we love to be part of every day.

Natalie

Its a big decision to find a nursery you feel happy to send your child too, and it was something I was very nervous about being a first time mum to an 11 month old that had spent every day with me. I knew as soon as I looked round Country Kids it was where I wanted my daughter to go. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the rooms beautifully decorated.

My daughter has now been going for 6 months and I couldnt be happier. She has settled so well, the staff are so attentive and supportive with her development and I can see the amazing changes in her. She has grown in confidence and loves every day she spends there. She definitely loves the amazing meals she gets too!

Everyday I get a detailed handover about her day and how she has been, and I can see how proud they are too with my daughters progress - whether its big or small!

I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a safe space for their child to flourish.

I literally cannot put into words how wonderful Country kids Day nursery Sleaford are.

My little boy Gene started in May this year for the first time in any childcare at 20 months. We had been living abroad previously and returned to the UK starting again myself in full time work and Daddy working away.

Gene absolutely loves it there, the ladies are fantastic and have not only made me feel at home but Genes development has been incredible.

I cannot thank you all enough, honestly from the bottom of mine and his daddy's hearts you have helped us in ways you will never know. Each and every one of you are amazing in your own individual ways and you're second mummy's to Gene so thank you.

I will never forget what you have done for us, you are special people and you do an amazing job. Thank you for making us feel at home again.

Thank you also for making me feel well, it's been a rough road but your support has been incredible

Our little boy has been going to Country Kids since he was 7 months old and he loves it there. They’re always off on little adventures around Sleaford and he loves the fact he gets to go to soft play too, not many nurseries you can say that about!!

People are always so complimentary about his speech and I believe being in an environment where learning is encouraged through a variety of fun activities has done wonders for him.

We love the team at Sleaford Country Kids and would recommend this nursery to anyone looking for somewhere where they can be sure their child will thrive.
