Meet our Newark nursery team
Jeanette
Jeanette is the CEO of Country Kids and has ultimate responsibilty over the business. Jeanette visits all sites on a regular basis.
Jeanette's philosophy is that her door is always open, and she welcomes parents from all sites.
Sarah
Sarah joined the family business in 2019 and is one of our nursery directors.
Sarah is Level 3 qualified and is Paediatric First aid trained. Sarah has also undertaken specific training for working with babies. Sarah is one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads and is our Speech and Language lead. Sarah has SENCO training and Makaton training too.
Kim
Kim joined our team in June 2023 and is our Manager here at Country Kids Newark.
Kim is Level 5 qualified and brings with her years of experience working with children. Kim is based in our pre-school room with our children aged 3-5 years.
Kim is Paediatric First Aid trained and has specific training for working with babies. Kim is one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads and has carried out her SENCO training.
Dale
Dale has been at Country Kids since we opened our very first site at Kneesall in 2017, after working with Jeanette before hand as a childminder starting in 2015.
Dale's fun, outgoing and bubbly character supports her well in our pre-school room. Dale is Level 3 qualified and is Paediatric First Aid trained. Dale is also one our our Designated Safeguarding Leads and acts as our deputy support. Dale has lots of training and experience with children that have SEN or English as an additional language.
Angie
Angie joined our team in September 2021 and is a Level 3 qualified practitioner. Angie brings with her a wealth of experience and is fantastic with children that may have additional needs.
Angie loves creative play and encouraging the children to be polite, independent individuals. Angie is Paediatric first aid trained and has undertaken specific training for working with babies.
Leah
Leah joined our team in September 2022 and is Level 2 qualified after carrying out her apprenticeship with us.
Leah's calm, caring nature is a huge asset to the nursery team. Leah works alongside Steph in our toddler room ages 2-3. Leah loves to get crafty and messy with the children. You will often find her in some sort of dress up outfit each day..!
Doreen
Doreen started off as our nursery cook in September 2021 and then joined us more hours as an unqualified assistant helping across all nursery rooms.
Doreen offers the children real life opportunities to cook and bake. Doreen acts as a support over lunch time too working with a qualified member of staff offering the children support and encouragement with their meals. Doreen is Paediatric First Aid trained.
Mae
Mae joined our team in September 2023 and is Level 2 qualified working towards her level 3. She has worked for Country Kids Farndon for 1 year before making the transfer to our Newark site.
Mae's bubbly and caring nature is loved in our baby room. Mae is paediatric first aid trained and has specific training for working with babies. Mae particularly enjoys teaching the babies simple Makaton signs, and passing her knowledge to other staff doing 'sign of the week' in our bigger rooms.
Steph
Steph rejoined our team in September 2024 after previously working for us as a nursery manager and regional manager and spending some time being an Ofsted Inspector.
Steph is Level 6 qualified and is Paediatric First Aid trained. Steph works in our toddler room with our children aged 2-3 years.
Chloe
Chloe works with us on an adhoc basis as nursery bank staff.
Chloe previously worked with us full-time and now joins us around her new role within the council.
Chloe is Level 3 qualfied and is paediatric first aid trained.
Ellie
Ellie works with us on an ahdoc basis as nursery bank staff.
Ellie is a Qualified Teacher and helps out around her passion for travelling the world.
Donna
Donna is our regional compliance manager. She joined our Country Kids team in September 2018 as the Nursery Manager at Rainworth in Janaury 2019 when we first opened.
Donna holds a level 5 management and leadership qualification. In addition to this, Donna is also paediatric first aid trained.
Yvonne
Yvonne is one of our regional managers predominantely based in Yorkshire however will occasionally visit all sites. She joined our Country Kids team in May 2023.
Yvonne previously has come from a teaching background and has a wealth of experience bringing teaching and learning to a high standard within the nurseries.
Angela
Angela joined Country Kids at the beginning of 2018 and works in the office offering support to Jeanette as our Business Development Manager.
There's never a dull day at Country Kids, which is what makes Angela's job so exciting! Angela also deals with all of the HR aspects of the business.
Dave
Dave joined our team in August 2020 and supports within the maintenance team. Dave is one of 6 family members that works for us in our family run business! As Country Kids broadens their locations, Dave is kept busy visiting different locations.
Josh
Josh joined our team in February 2024 as our maintenance manager. Josh is responsible for all the larger building projects we complete, such as nursery revamps and expansians.. all the way down to smaller jobs like usually unblocking the toilets!
Johnny
Johnny joined the team in April 2023 and supports Josh and Dave with any maintenance aspects of the business - whether this is building play equipment or keeping us safe with PAT testing!
Marina
Marina joined the nursery group in March 2025 and supports within our marketing team. Marina heavily focuses on our social media presence, communication to parents and recruitment for the nurseries.
Marina is pre-dominantly based at our Newark site, although will travel to collect content from all sites.
Harvey
Harvey is our therapeutic dog within the nursery and loves giving each and every child lots of love and cuddles when he comes in to visit.
Harvey is a Cockapoo and has a hypoallergenic coat, which means even children with allergies to dogs do not react to his fur. Harvey is the perfect addition to our loving nursery, and he can't wait to meet you!
Marlo
Marlo is our nursery puppy, although is getting so big now! Marlo is a cockapoo, just like Harvey and is learning the ways with the children.
His fur means Marlo is hypoallergenic, perfect for coming to give us all cuddles at nursery! You'll know when Marlo is in the office.. the children will shout "Marlooooo!" from their rooms!
