Kneesall Day Nursery - Country Kids

Based in the rural village of Kneesall, our nursery is based on the A616. We are easy to get to from many local villages and small towns. Our Kneesall nursery is just a few miles from Wellow, Ollerton, Boughton, Tuxford, Laxton, Sutton on Trent and Caunton and provides childcare for a wide range of children, including those using their government funded hours.

All of our age groups enjoy learning through fun, hands-on activities and our children spend a lot of time in the great outdoors, enjoying our spacious outdoor area and exploring the local countryside. Our pre-school (children aged 3 - 5 years old) feeds into the local Primary Schools

Baby Room

For babies aged 12 weeks - 2 years old
Our cosy, home-from-home baby room provides your child with a safe, loving environment for them to flourish. With lots of sensory activities at our fingertips, we love learn through play and explore the world around us. We have a dedicated baby garden in our outdoor area for children under 2 to explore.

Our tiny tots love to have snuggles from all our staff, and our baby room allows them to sleep peacefully whenever they wish. We follow your home routine at nursery, and work with parents to support you and your baby whilst at nursery and at home too.

Our team of dedicated, experienced key workers will form a very special bond with your child, and they play a very important part in their development.

Toddlers

Our toddler group is for children aged 2 - 3 years.
Our toddler room is a safe, caring environment where toddlers  learn by exploring what’s around them with lots of hands-on activities and messy play. This may range from building sandcastles in the sandpit, baking in our home corner or to trying to pick up their own shadow in a puddle whilst exploring the great outdoors!

A key focus for our toddler group is learning how to work and play cooperatively with other children, sharing with others and finding their own personality and voices. We also work closely with parents as our toddlers begin their potty training journey.

Pre-school

Our pre-school is for children aged 3 - 5 years old.
Our pre-school ensures that your child is ready for school by the time they reach the age of 5 years old. Our pre-school group learns through hands-on play whilst following the same learning guides as school, however we do not use worksheets like you may have seen at school.
We love exploring the local area and take the children for swimming lessons. We also offer weekly sports classes and Forest School inspired activities in the great outdoors. Each week we do lots of singing, dancing, reading our favourite books and learning communication skills such as Makaton.

Outside Area

Our Kneesall nursery boasts a spacious outside area, that is well equipped to engage our children of all ages. Our grand castle takes the centre of attention with two levels, accessible for both older and younger children to enjoy role play and allow them to take risks within a controlled environment. A huge sandpit is the heart of our outside area, surrounded by our own race track for bikes, pedal cars and scooters. We have a specially built baby garden for our children aged under 2, with their own built-in sandpit and play equipment tailored to their age and abilities.

At Country Kids we believe that daily outside play is essential for their development, and our children enjoy playing outdoors all year round. Raincoats and wellington boots are their best friends, as they enjoy exploring nature around them, even when it's raining!

“My 3 year old has been at Country Kids Kneesall for 5 weeks. Prior to that, he'd been at another childcare provider for just shy of 2 years. His Dad and I both agree we wish we had taken him out of the previous place sooner. We had been told by the previous place that his behaviour was worse than anyone else there (it's good at home!) and we'd have incident form after incident form to sign.

5 weeks in and he really is flourishing at Country Kids. Straight away they were consistent with boundaries and have put steps in place to help him. A combination of this and the consistency of the fantastic staff there has done him wonders and it's so lovely to see other people see the wonderful boy that we, his family see.

We only wish he'd joined sooner. Thank you Jeanette and everyone at Country Kids - for making a little boy and his parents happy ”

"My eldest boy has just left Country Kids Kneesall to start at primary school, he is very excited about going back to nursery to join everyone at their after school and holiday club.

My youngest child has just his settling-in session in the baby room at Kneesall. He has come home a very happy boy!

If you are looking for a fantastic nursery, I highly recommend Country Kids Kneesall. All of the staff are loving, caring and are truly passionate about children."

“Both of my children love coming to Country Kids Day Nursery. They are 19 months old, and 3 years old and they really love Country Kids.

They have both come on leaps and bounds in their development and confidence since being at Country Kids.

All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. You couldn't wish for a nicer place to send your kids!”

“My twin boys have been attending since Oct 2017. I was very impressed from my first contact with Country Kids.

The team are professional, enthusiastic and very approachable. After visiting a few local provider's, Country Kids stood out from the rest and it was the obvious choice for my children.

The setting is light, bright and engaging offering lots of opportunity for indoor and outdoor creative play. The staff provide a nurturing environment that I was hoping to find for my boys. Outside providers come in to offer tennis lessons and dance/music sessions which the boys absolutely love. Staff take time to listen to any queries and deal with any requests straight away.
I am very confident that i made the right choice with Country kids and my boys love it which says it all! Well done and thank you!”
