Welcome to Country Kids Day Nursery

We provide a homely, caring, interactive and educational environment for our children in our nurseries. With different rooms and areas specially designed to cater for the different ages, needs and interests; we believe that we every child that comes through our door is able to thrive and enjoy their time in our nursery. 

Let's begin with babies. From just 12 weeks old, we welcome babies into our loving nursery family. Our baby rooms and areas provide children from 12 weeks to 2 years old with a loving, safe environment where they can explore and flourish. Our babies have engaging, sensory activities right at their fingertips, to allow them to explore and learn through play. Our team of dedicated key workers play a vital role in your child's development and form really special bonds with them.

When babies reach 2 years old, they will move up to our toddler group until they turn 3 . Our toddler rooms are a safe, caring environment where your child will learn from hands-on experiences by exploring what’s around them. Children in our toddler group will learn through play, with a huge focus on enhancing their communication and language skills further.

3 - 5 year old children will enter our pre-school group, where they prepare for primary school with lots of fun activities and hands-on learning. Our pre-school follows the same curriculum, and works towards the same early learning goals as school, however we offer a different learning approach! In pre-school, we focus on developing the skills that your child will need to be able to confidently start school when they turn 5 years old.

We believe that children should spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors, experiencing all that it has to offer from mud puddles to wildlife. Our rural locations benefit from being in the countryside, and for our nurseries that are in urban areas, we bring the countryside to them! With Forest School inspired activities, the children receive hands-on fun and learn through experience. Our outdoor spaces at nursery provide a wealth of activities, plus an opportunity for exercise and pretend-play.

We have 7 fantastic nurseries open across the UK that are renown for their high standards of care and education:


Kneesall Nursery - Our nursery is located in the rural village of Kneesall, on the A616 which allows easy access from Newark, Ollerton, Boughton, Wellow, Edwinstowe, Tuxford, Norwell and Sutton on Trent.


Newark Nursery - Our nursery is located off of Lincoln Road, and is just a minute from Newark on Trent town centre and the attractions such as Newark Castle. It is easy to get to from areas such as Farndon, Balderton, Hawton, Fernwood and Collingham.


Farndon Nursery - Our nursery is located on Marsh Lane behind the memorial hall, in walking distance for all Farndon residents. We are easily accessible from Hawton, Cotham, Thorpe, East Stoke, Elston, Syerston, Flintham, Sibthorpe and Shelton.


Rainworth Nursery - Our nursery is located just a stones throw from Warsop Lane, one of the main routes through Rainworth. We are next to Lake View Primary School and are easily accessed from Blidworth, Ravenshead, Farnsfield, Bilsthorpe and Mansfield.


Sleaford Nursery - Our nursery is located in the town centre directly opposite Sleaford Train Station, and is above Stacks Play Centre. Our nursery in Sleaford is easily accessible from the villages surrounding Sleaford including Leasingham, Holdingham, Greylees, Quarrington and RAF Cranwell.


Holbeach Drove Nursery - Our Spalding nursery is located in Holbeach Drove, near to Crowland, Spalding, Holbeach and Thorney.


Apperley Bridge Nursery - Our newest nursery is located in Apperley Bridge, Bradford close to Calverley, Ravenscliffe and other surrounding areas.

Our environment at Country Kids Day Nursery

Early years are so important to the development of children. We want our tiny tots to grow into adults who are caring, compassionate, curious, worldly and wise - positive traits that begin taking form during our very earliest experiences and interactions in life! These could include learning to share toys and play equipment with others, discovering boundaries for our own behaviour, learning to care for and be kind to animals, or taking pleasure in absorbing new information - whether from books or the outside world.

At Country Kids Day Nursery, we continually strive to foster an environment in which all children feel safe, nurtured, listened to and understood. We want children to make their own choices and lead their own learning, to develop their self-confidence and self-esteem and to understand how the choices they make can impact on their fellow classmates. Montessori inspired indoor and outdoor play, opportunity for rest and reflection, and healthy mealtimes all form a part of our day-to-day activities.

As well as our amazing indoor environments we have for our children, we also have fantastic outdoor spaces for the children to explore. Our nurseries are accessible for all, please contact us if you require further information on how we accommodate wheelchair or walking frame users.

We are currently in the process of re-vamping all of our sites to include the curiosity approach as one of our styles of learning, which will impact our environments. Our Sleaford site is the first nursery to be embedded, with beautiful country style themed rooms full of natural, open ended resources.
